- Blend the shrimp paste, garlic, shallots, chilli pepper into paste
- Heat up the oil on a pan in a medium heat fire and fry the chilli paste mixture that has been blended together
- After the chili paste mixture is cooked for at least 10mins or till it brings out the fragrance, add the fried diced tempe and tofu together into the pan. And continue to stir fry them altogether. Add sugar and salt to taste. π

I will try this with tofu next time too – not that the chicken wasn't excellent with it. Bami Goreng is an Indonesian dish that's traditional to Holland. It seems like a lot of work but it really isn't - if I'm having company for dinner I slice, dice and prepare all my ingredients (including cooking the noodles) and place them in separate zip-lock bags in the refrigerator until I'm ready to use. When the tofu is pan-fried, you can slightly seasoning with salt and pepper to keep it crispy texture. And the tofu used today is regular tofu.
